The Philippine Mission to the United Nations and Other International Organizations and the Philippine Consulate General in Geneva wish to inform the public of two new instances of COVID-19 infection among its personnel. They do NOT perform any consular duties, are not in contact with applicants for consular services, and have been working from home since the start of the State of Necessity on 2 November.

The Consulate General is pleased to report that the staff member who tested positive in October (subject of Advisory No. 28) has fully recovered.

The Consulate General reiterates that, in line with the declaration of a State of Necessity by the canton of Geneva and in order to ensure the protection of the public, it will continue to strictly implement hygiene protocols for all individuals entering its premises and accept only those with confirmed appointments.

To give others the opportunity to obtain appointments, the Consulate General reiterates its appeal for the public not to hoard appointment slots and not to make multiple bookings for the same transaction. Individuals whose transactions are not urgent are also requested to defer their visit.

As before, those in emergency situations (e.g., victims of human trafficking or violence against women and children; deaths of Filipino nationals) do not need an appointment. Please contact the emergency consular hotline at 079-1369114 and/or the emergency labor hotline at 077-9553147. Emails may also be sent to This email address is being protected from spambots.
